About Us
The City Youth Association Gators replaced the former City Youth Association in 2010. The City Youth Association Gators is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of promoting arts, cultural awareness, scholastic activities as well as athletic opportunities for inner-city at-risk youths between the ages of 3 and 16. Established in 2010 by Deanna Bredell, Marc Bredell, Terri Brown, Renee Nelson, Calvin White, and Janice Winston, the mission of the organization is to provide a program that allow participants to enhance their interest in sports by being introduced to the qualities of sportsmanship, teamwork, character and self-reliance; and encourage the enrichment of the participants in scholastic endeavors. We emphasize discipline, structure, academic achievement, and a positive balanced attitude. Our coaches are comprised of mentoring professionals who volunteer their time to fulfill our mission.
